Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) confirmed that the all-new 2022 Civic will be launched in the market this November. This shows that the info we got from our insider source last September is accurate.
The all-new Honda Civic will make PH debut this November
The all-new Honda Civic will be offered in three variants with prices ranging from Php 1,300,000 to Php 1,700,000. Of note, all variants of the PH-spec 2022 Civic are equipped with Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive technologies. Here are the trims for the 2022 Honda Civic:
- Honda Civic S Turbo CVT
- Honda Civic V Turbo CVT
- Honda Civic RS Turbo CVT
HCPI is offering the 2022 Civic with a new exterior color, the Morning Mist Blue Metallic that’s available on the S and V variants. Another new exterior paint on offer is the Meteoroid Grey Metallic, which is available on all 2022 Honda Civic variants. Other color options (depending on the variant) are the following: Ignite Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Lunar Silver Metallic.
You can now reserve a unit of the 11th-gen Honda Civic
But one of the most surprising features of the PH-spec all-new Civic is the availability of the Honda Sensing tech across all variants. This means that the car brand’s suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies are equipped even on the entry-level trim.
Honda Sensing tech includes the following:
- Collision Mitigation Braking System
- Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)
- Road Departure Mitigation System with Lane Departure Warning (RDM with LDW)
- Auto High-Beam (AHB)
- Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow (ACC with LSF)
- Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN)
The said safety tech allowed the 11th generation Honda Civic to get a 5-star rating under the more stringent ASEAN NCAP safety rating standard. As a review, the ASEAN NCAP released the revamped score sheet last May, and Motorcyclist Safety is added as a new category to get a 5-star safety rating. This will be effective until 2025.
All PH-spec 2022 Civic comes with Honda Sensing tech
Based on the ASEAN NCAP’s report, the 2022 Honda Civic gets a weighted score of 83.47, which qualifies for a 5-star safety rating.
The PH-spec all-new Honda Civic is equipped with a 1.5-liter VTEC turbo gasoline engine that puts out 176 hp and 240 Nm of torque. The engine is connected to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
HCPI said that the reservation book is now open for the 2022 Honda Civic. Interested individuals may inquire and reserve with any of the 37 Honda Cars dealerships nationwide starting today, November 11.
HCPI added that individuals who will reserve the All-New Civic V Turbo CVT variant until December 31, 2021 are entitled to a free Modulo Trunk Tray and Modulo Exhaust Pipe Finisher. The said deal is on top of all other promotions offered for the month of the vehicle release until January 31, 2022.
