Lynk & Co. was founded back in 2016 by its parent companies Geely Auto and Volvo Cars in Gothenburg, Sweden. In 2017, it showed off its first product, the 01 crossover at the Auto Shanghai show.
The brand started off with the 01 crossover. It started production for this model in China in 2017 whilst sharing the same production line as the XC40 and the Polestar.
By 2021 the company managed to penetrate Middle Eastern markets, followed by an expansion campaign drive in Europe.
At present, the brand has a total of eight models. These are the 01, 02, 03, 05, 06, 08, and the 09. During its launch in the Philippines, the brand came in with the 01, 05, and 06 as its initial local lineup.
