The all-new Jeep Gladiator is the company’s first pickup truck offering after over three decades of focusing on its acclaimed SUVs. It is available locally in two variants which come with a price that ranges from Php 4,890,000 to Php 5,690,000. Powering the vehicle is a 3.6-liter V6 gasoline engine capable of generating 285 horsepower and 352 Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission is the sole gearbox option in the local lineup.

Dimensions-wise, the Gladiator is 5,537 mm long, 1,875 mm wide, and 1,933 mm high. Locally, this American pickup truck is competing against the likes of the Ford F-150 and RAM 1500.

Launch

The Jeep Gladiator was unveiled at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show and went on sale in 2019. Its name is a revival of the automobile company’s classic pick-up car that was produced from 1962 to 1988. Locally, the Jeep Gladiator was launched in the middle of 2020.

Jeep Gladiator Exterior

In the front, this rugged and versatile beast flaunts a dual-vented power dome hood, the company’s signature seven-slot grille paired with LED headlights, LED fog lamps, and a dark and durable bumper with license bracket. 

Its indestructible-looking body is designed with full metal doors with roll-up windows, black door handles, and exterior mirrors. The truck bed at the back measures 1,524mm. Its rear features LED taillights, fog lamps, and a sliding window. The top of the line variant is affixed with cargo tie-down loops, rear window defroster, tow hooks, and more.

The standard variant wears 17-inch low-gloss black steel wheels while the Jeep Rubicon 2023 is affixed with a set of 17-inches polished black wheels made in aluminum.

Jeep Gladiator Interior

The Jeep Gladiator Sport offers a roomy cabin with fabric-covered bucket seats, a good number of storage spaces strategically placed all over, LED dome lamps and reading lights, sliding sun mirror with visors, and three rear head restraints. 

Drivers will adore the height-adjustable seat with manual two-way lumbar adjustment, leather-wrapped steering wheels with audio control, push-button start, primary speedometer, and the useful Torx tool kit. 

On the other hand, the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon is leveled up with premium amenities such as molded bucket seats, park brake handle, and steering wheel all wrapped in leather. Other features include LED ambient interior lighting, bright interior accents, coat hooks, solar control glass, and more.

Technology & Safety Features

The Standard standard variant is equipped with a 5.0-inch touchscreen display with eight speakers. The Rubicon model comes with an 8.4-inch infotainment system paired with an Alpine Premium audio system. 

Safety is guaranteed as it is built with a generous number of airbags, a child seat anchor, electronic stability control which includes hill start assist, trailer sway damping and electronic roll mitigation, rear park assist system, back-up camera at the rear, theft-deterrent system, keyless entry, and tire pressure display.

Jeep Gladiator Platform & Chassis

This vehicle is manufactured using the Wrangler JL platform. It is affixed with a Leading Link suspension at the front and Trailing Arm type at the rear. Its braking power is supported by a four-wheel disc system.

Engine & Drivetrain

Both variants are powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is guaranteed to produce 285 hp with a torque of 352 Nm.
