Launch
The Isuzu Crosswind was launched in 1991 to cater to the demand for a reliable multi-purpose vehicle in the Southeast Asian market. In other parts of Asia, it was known as the Isuzu Panther in Indonesia, the Chevrolet Tavera in India, and the Isuzu Hi-Lander in Vietnam.
The second-generation Isuzu Crosswind was unveiled at the Indonesia International Motor Show on September 6, 2000. The revamped version featured a modern exterior paired with a 2.5-liter Direct Injection diesel engine. In 2001, a premium SUV touring variant was made available.
The Isuzu Crosswind was introduced in the Philippines as a replacement for the Isuzu Hi-Lander in 2001. In 2007 and 2009, the well-received multi-purpose vehicle got minor facelifts. In 2012, the Isuzu Sportivo X was launched as a mid-range variant built with more contemporary features.
Exterior
The Isuzu Crosswind measures 4,780mm long, 1,770mm wide, and 1,900mm tall with a minimum ground clearance of 233mm. It features a timeless, rugged, and well-built exterior with a commanding presence on the road.
Highlights include a broad radiator grille with the Japanese carmaker’s respected logo, a pair of headlight cluster with halogen lamps and turn indicators, a dual-colored bumper with chrome-colored cladding, a front bumper with broad air vent, front fog lamps, body-colored door handles, and side mirrors, a large boot lid, and a rear bumper with reflectors and cladding. The Isuzu Crosswind wears a set of 14-inch steel wheels or 15-inch alloy wheels depending on the variant.

The cabin of Isuzu Crosswind is spacious as it is built with a 2,680mm wheelbase.
