The Hyundai Venue 2023 is a subcompact crossover entry from the Korean automaker. It is available in the Philippines in two variants with a price ranging between Php 915,000 and Php 985,000. Powering this model as standard is a 1.6-liter Gamma MPI gasoline engine capable of generating 121 horsepower and 151 Nm of torque. This engine is connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission only.
Moving to the dimensions, the Venue 2023 spans 4,040 mm in length, 1,770 mm in width, and 1,590 mm in height. In addition, it gets a wheelbase and ground clearance rated at 2,520 mm and 170 mm, respectively. Locally, this Hyundai subcompact crossover competes against the likes of the Geely Coolray, Ford EcoSport, and Kia Seltos.
Launch
The Venue is Hyundai’s latest addition to its global model lineup. This subcompact crossover first made its debut at the 2019 New York International Auto Show. The Venue is currently the smallest crossover in Hyundai’s lineup that includes the Kona and the Tucson. It is offered globally with a choice of either a Gamma 1.6-liter engine with 6-speed manual or Smartstream IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission).

Locally, Hyundai Philippines introduced the Venue as its newest challenger in the subcompact crossover segment. The said segment is continuously growing in the country as local car buyers generate interest in owning a vehicle that can give style and versatility. The local-spec Hyundai Venue is offered in two variants, and comes in at Php 915,000 for the base GL and Php 985,000 for the top-spec GLS.
Hyundai Venue Exterior
Venue conveys a fun, yet functional design in a versatile and modern compact package. It comes with a bold and composed stance as well as a striking exterior design. The Venue 2023 has an aggressive front fascia that features a large grille and sharp-looking headlights. Bi-function halogen headlamps with static blending flank the nose, combined with LED daytime running lights and position lights. An air curtain inlet built into the front bumper diverts incoming drafts while the vehicle is in motion, enhancing efficiency.
Turning at the side, this subcompact crossover features sharp character lines that extend from the front to back. The said character lines give the Venue a strong appearance when viewed from the side. It also has roof rails and a stylish set of 17-inch alloy wheels.
On the other hand, the rear of the Venue Philippines is fitted with distinctive taillights that give the vehicle a sleek and sporty appeal.
Hyundai Venue Interior
Inside, the global Venue model features a dark interior theme. In addition, the Venue comes standard with a 60/40 split flat-folding backseat to maximize utility. The Venue also comes with an 8-inch multimedia touchscreen that includes both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for intuitive operation of the most commonly used smartphone functions, including app-based navigation, streaming audio, and voice-controlled search capabilities. This vehicle can accommodate up to five individuals.

Advanced High-Strength Steel (AHSS) construction results in increased rigidity and structural integrity for the body, offering greater protection for occupants in the event of a collision. A total of six airbags deploy in case of impacts. Electronic stability control, anti-lock brakes, and ISOFix child anchors complete the Venue’s loadout of safety equipment.
Platform & Chassis
The Hyundai Venue comes with a MacPherson Strut with coil spring suspension at the front and a Coupled Torsion Beam Axle at the rear. Braking power is provided by ventilated discs upfront while solid brakes at the back.
