Hyundai Accent Price List & Hottest Promos

The Hyundai Accent is the Korean marque's entry to the competitive subcompact sedan category. It is available in six variants and the Hyundai Accent 2023 Philippines price that ranges from Php 790,000 to Php 1,038,000. Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) offers this model with two engine options consisting of gasoline and diesel mills. Lower-end variants use a 1.4-liter Kappa MPI Dual CVVT gasoline engine that makes 99 hp and 132 Nm of torque, while higher-end variants are equipped with a 1.6-liter CRDi turbodiesel engine that delivers 126 hp and 260 Nm of torque. As for the transmission, the engines can be connected to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Moving to the dimensions, the Accent spans 4,440 mm in length, 1,729 mm in width, and 1,460 mm in height, with a wheelbase rated at 2,600 mm. In the Philippines, this Korean sedan is competing against the likes of the Toyota Vios, Honda City, and Nissan Almera. 

Launch

In 2019, the Philippines became the first country in ASEAN to receive the current-generation Accent, two years after Hyundai commenced global production. Unlike the previous iteration offered with a hatchback body style option, the current Accent only comes in a sedan configuration for the local market, divided into six trim levels with five available colors.

Hyundai Accent Exterior

The Philippine-spec Accent holds dimensions of 4,440mm in length, 1,729mm in height, and 1,460mm in width, with a wheelbase of 2,600mm. It features the carmaker’s Fluidic Sculpture design language. Large wraparound halogen headlamps flank the wide cascading grille composed of six horizontal slats. A prominent shoulder line cuts across the doors on both sides, all the way to the segmented rear combination lamps. The Accent rides on 15-inch steel rims with full wheel caps.

Hyundai Accent Interior

The cabin of the Philippine-market Hyundai Accent 2023 has accommodations for up to five occupants. Power windows and centralized door locks are standard, as well as power-adjustable side mirrors. The cabin features piano black and chrome surfaces.

Leather upholstery is standard for the range-topping variant, while both driver and front passenger seats feature seatback pockets for storage, accompanying the wide center console. The 60/40 split-fold rear seats can be collapsed to gain access to the trunk, which holds up to 388 liters of cargo. Front map lights aid in interior illumination.

Technology & Safety Features

Large analog tachometer and speedometer gauges flank the multi-information display just beyond the tilt-adjustable steering wheel. The dashboard’s center stack features rotary switches for the manual air-conditioning, situated below the 3.8-inch LCD display radio that features USB and AUX input.

The Hyundai Accent sold in the Philippines packs a somewhat spartan set of safety equipment compared to its rivals, which includes 3-point seatbelts and dual front airbags. Seat frames have been engineered for lightweight durability, to protect occupants during collisions.   

Hyundai Accent Chassis & Platform

All Hyundai Accent units sold in the Philippines utilize the Hyundai-Kia K2 platform introduced in 2016, featuring a body structure reinforced by ultra-high tensile strength steel in critical areas. The same platform can support three-row seating, and underpins several other Hyundai Philippines car models such as the Venue, i20, i30, and Creta.

A MacPherson strut-type suspension with coil springs is used for the front, while the rear features a coupled torsion beam axle. Motor Driven Power Steering (MDPS) makes the Accent maneuverable on city and highway drives. Stopping power is by way of front ventilated disc and rear drum brakes.   

Hyundai Accent Engine & Drivetrain

The Philippine-spec Hyundai Accent is available in two engine options. The base and mid-range variants use a 1.4-liter Kappa multi-point injection gasoline engine with continuously variable valve timing that delivers 99 hp and 132 Nm of torque. Top-spec trims are powered by a 1.6-liter U-II common-rail direct injection diesel engine with variable geometry turbo, capable of 126 hp and 260 Nm of torque as early as 1,500 RPM. Both engines comply with Euro 4 emissions standards, and are paired with either a manual or automatic transmission, each with six forward gears.
