The new Wigo has a total of three different trims available locally. There’s the top-spec Wigo G CVT, Wigo E CVT, and the entry-level Wigo J MT. So the question now is, which one’s the right one for you?
To answer that, let us compare these variants’ specs. Knowing these will help in making a more informed purchase.
Toyota Wigo Variants: Exterior
Starting with the outside portions of the Wigo, all three trims come standard with LED headlamps, LED front fog lamps, clearance lamps, and halogen taillights. All three also get a black-colored front grille, body-colored door handles, and a pole-type antenna.
2024 Toyota Wigo G CVT
Only the top-spec Wigo G gets power-adjustable and power-folding side mirrors, a rear spoiler, and an LED high-mount stop lamp. The rest get manual-folding and manual adjust side mirrors.
Completing the looks of the Wigo G, E, and J trims is a set of 14-inch wheels. For color options, only the top-spec G is available in Red Mica Metallic 2 and Orange Metallic 3, while only the entry-level J may come in White 2. The G and E trims also get access to the Yellow SE color option, but all trims may come in Silver Metallic 4 and Gray Metallic.

Toyota Wigo Variants: Interior
All Wigo trims can comfortably seat up to five occupants including the driver. All three also get fabric-clad seats, an analog meter cluster, a digital trip meter, a day & night rearview mirror, three cup holders, and a total of four bottle holders.

Only the top-spec Wigo G gets a six-way manual adjustable driver’s seat, a push-to-start button, and a digital manual climate control system. The rest meanwhile, features a standard manual climate control system, a four-way manual driver’s seat, and turn-key ignition. Also, only the G and E get steering wheel-mounted controls.
For on-board entertainment, the G and E variants are kitted out with an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This system features Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and voice commands. The J meanwhile, gets a simpler 1-DIN audio system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

Inside the G trim, sound from the entertainment system is fed to its cabin by a four-piece speaker system. The E and J variants, on the other hand, only get a total of two speakers.
Toyota Wigo Variants: Engine

Wigo G CVT | Php 729,000 |
Wigo E CVT | Php 684,000 |
Wigo J MT | Php 609,000 |
Toyota Wigo Variants: Conclusion
It’s pretty straightforward when you’re choosing which 2024 Toyota Wigo variant is right for you. The higher the trim, the more safety and convenience features you get. In this case, the G variant is the most complete Wigo though the mid-spec E might be close as it gets the same on-board entertainment system.
For buyers who want a manual, however, the only choice they have is the entry-level J. All trims though, do make the same amount of power and have the same braking and suspension systems.
Both the top-spec G and the mid-spec E come with a CVT. The J meanwhile, gets a 5-speed manual gearbox.
In the end, we urge serious buyers to take each for a test drive. The variant guide can only do so much, and getting seat time on these trims is just plain better than merely reading off specs.
