The 2023 BMW iX3 is an electric-powered crossover SUV. For the Philippine market, its sole available M Sport variant is priced at Php 4.59 million.
Size-wise, the iX3 is 4,734mm long, 1,891mm wide, and 1,668mm in height. It also has a wheelbase length of 2,864mm.
Powering the iX3 is a single electric motor, a 400-volt battery, and a 12-volt onboad power supply. Together, this system can generate up to 286 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to its rear wheels.
One of the BMW iX3’s similarly-sized, EV rivals in the Philippine market includes the Audi e-tron GT quattro. There’s also the Volvo XC40, Jaguar I-Pace, among others.
Launch
The BMW iX3 was released for the Philippine market on January 2023. It is the second BMW iX model released locally, and it comes with a retail price of Php 4.59 million.
Exterior
Couple with modern looks and familiar BMW styling cues, the iX is a handsome crossover that’s kitted out with adaptive LED headlamps, LED taillights, an active lower air intake, and a sculpted aerodynamic rear end.
Completing the look of the crossover is a set of 19-inch alloy wheels. It also comes with roof rails, and a high-gloss shadow line.
Interior
Most interior surfaces of the iX3 are clad in leather. These then come with blue accents, and are mostly soft to the touch. Some bits though, are decorated in fine wood trim, as well as pearl chrome finish.
Up above the cabin is a panoramic sunroof. Occupants of the iX3 are also provided comfort by way of a three-zone automatic climate control system, acoustic glazing for the windows, as well as an ambient lighting system.
Also present on this Bimmer are power-adjustable seats, and a 510-liter cargo bay. The said cargo space can then be expanded to 1,560 liters with the rear seats down. It also comes with an automatic tailgate.
Tech & Safety
Handling the entertainment needs of the iX3’s occupants is a 12.3-inch iDrive touchscreen system. It is paired to a Harman Kardon speaker system, and it features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless charging, and Remote Sofware upgrades are also available for this headunit.
The driver is then provided with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, which runs on the latest version of the BMW Live Cockpit Professional.
Also present on this model for added safety is a cruise control system with braking, high beam assist, parking assist, active protection, park distance control, among others.

Engine
Powering the BMW iX3 is an electric motor paired with a 400-volt battery and a 12-volt onboard power supply. At the most, this system can make up to 286 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. It then boasts up to 460 kilometers of range on a single charge.
As a side note, the iX3 is packaged with a BMW I Wallbox which will be installed in the customer’s home. It also gets an eight-year warranty for the battery, and a six-year BMW Service.
Chassis
The 2023 BMW iX3 uses the BMW CLAR, or Cluster Architecture platform. It shares this with a majority of other BMW models. It then uses a rear-motor, rear-wheel-drive layout.
