The Nissan Teana 2023 Philippines is a midsize four-door sedan released as a replacement for the Nissan Skyline, the Nissan Laurel, and the Nissan Cefiro. It features a contemporary exterior designed with graceful edges, subtle lines, and chrome detailing. Inside, it offers a premium cabin graced with driver and passenger amenities guaranteed to provide a safe and comfortable riding experience. In the Philippines, the Nissan Teana was offered in two variants: the Nissan Teana 250 XL and the Nissan Teana 250 XV. It comes in Amethyst Grey, Brilliant Silver, Onyx Black, Bordeaux Red, and Brilliant Pearl White.

Launch

The Nissan Teana was initially launched in Japan together with the Nissan Murano in February 2003 under the exclusive dealership named the Nissan Red Stage. A month after it was introduced in other Asian countries. In 2004, the Nissan Teana entered the European market as a replacement for the Nissan Maxima QX. The second-generation Nissan Teana was launched at the Beijing Auto Show in 2008. It was offered in four engine variants all paired with a continuously variable transmission. In 2013, the third-generation Nissan Teana was launched as a rebadged version of the Nissan Altima.

In the Philippines, the second-generation Nissan Teana was launched in 2008 as the demand for efficient sedans increased.

Exterior

The Nissan Teana measures 4,850mm long, 1,795mm wide, and 1,485mm tall. It features a subtle but premium-looking exterior detailed with gorgeous edges, sleek lines, and a timeless front fascia. Notable features include a sharp pair of halogen headlamps, front fog lamps, auto-foldable and electrically-adjustable side mirrors, chrome-colored door handles, wide passenger windows with chrome trim, rear defogger, dual exhaust pipes, and a pair of three dimensional LED combination rear lights. Completing its premium look is a set of 16- to 17-inch alloy wheels.

Interior

The Nissan Teana offers a spacious cabin courtesy of its 2,775mm wheelbase. Interior highlights include a multifunction leather-wrapped steering wheel with wood detailings, meter display with fine vision, wood design on the dashboard, door panels, and console, illuminated side step, leather upholstered passenger seats, driver’s leather seat with electric adjustment, programmable memory, and lumbar support, and dual-zone automatic climate control with plasma cluster.

Technology & Safety Features

The Nissan Teana is built with an audio system with six speakers strategically placed inside the cabin.  In terms of safety, the Nissan Teana is built with an anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, vehicle dynamic control, engine immobilizer, an improved body construction, three-point adjustable seat belts with head restraints, and a generous number of airbags.

Platform & Chassis

The Nissan Teana utilized the Nissan D platform. It is fitted with an independent strut suspension at the front and an independent, multi-link suspension at the rear. The sedan’s braking power is assisted by ventilated discs at the front and solid discs at the rear.

Engine & Drivetrain

The Nissan Teana is a front-wheel-drive sedan. It is powered by a six-cylinder DOHC VQ25DE engine mated with an Xtronic Continuously Variable transmission with sports mode. It is guaranteed to produce 180 horsepower with 228 Newton meters of torque.
