Peugeot Philippines’ new distributor, Astara, has been working wonders for the French marque since the start of the year. It managed to introduce the latest iterations of the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 which are ideal for those who want to drive around town in comfort and style.
2022 Peugeot Traveller
Now, the company is growing its lineup with the launching of the 2022 Traveller Premium. It is a 7-seater MPV that aims to bring more Filipino families into the brand, offering a premium design, spacious cabin, and a host of safety features.
“Our expanding lineup helps to position Peugeot as a brand of choice for discerning Filipinos looking for premium European vehicles that promise a new mode of modern and stylish travel,” said Peugeot Philippines Brand Head Maricar Parco.
Exterior
An MPV that comes with premium styling
The new Peugeot Traveller Premium features a trapezoidal chrome grille with the lion embedded in the center. It is flanked by Xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights (DRLs) to complete the front fascia. Meanwhile, the 7-seater MPV’s side profile hosts sharp character lines and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Interior
Inside, the body has been extended, translating to more space for the comfort of passengers. It also allows more cargo to be hauled which is a key factor for Filipino families. A 2-2-3 configuration for the leather seats is installed into the cabin, with the second-row passengers benefiting from captain chairs.
The cabin boasts comfort and convenience
Integrated into the center console is a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen with MirrorLink for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functions. Other interior amenities include power sliding doors, LED mood lighting, automatic air conditioning with air vents, a panoramic glass roof, sunshade curtains, 12-volt sockets, and a USB port.
Safety
The Traveller gets a handful of safety bits
In terms of safety, the Peugeot Traveller Premium comes with programmable cruise control with speed limiter, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program, hill climb assist, driver attention alert, and blind-spot assist. It also features a 180-degree rear camera and rear sensors so drivers can park the MPV easier.
Engine
Under the hood is a 2.0-liter BlueHDi (diesel) turbo engine good for 150 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque. It sends power exclusively to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Price
Peugeot Philippines is offering the new Traveller Premium at Php 3,100,000. Interested individuals can check out the 7-seater MPV at the Peugeot stand at the upcoming Manila International Auto Show.
