Mercedes-Benz Philippines, under the management of the Auto Nation Group, officially introduced the 2022 E-Class.
The updated Mercedes-Benz E-Class for the model year 2022
This is the latest version of the German-made executive car, and it bears plenty of updates inside and out. It received new onboard technologies making for a safer ride, and also has a more sophisticated, but sportier-feeling exterior as well.
Exterior
Starting with the exterior, the 2022 E-Class gets a redesigned front end with a new grille. The grille itself now features diamond pins with high-gloss black inserts, while still bearing a sizable Mercedes-Benz logo in the center. Flanking the grille is a pair of new LED headlamps.
It has some aggressiveness while keeping an aura of quiet gracefulness
The updated Mercedes-Benz E-Class for the local market now sits on a set of 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels. So while the familiar, graceful E-Class silhouette is retained, the new set of wheels offers the car a sportier feel. It also gets AMG body styling, plus wider wheel arches.
The rear also comes with some enhancements including a new pair of horizontally oriented LED taillamps. This provides the rear of the E-Class a wider, stronger look than ever before.

Interior
As expected of a luxury vehicle, the E-Class is fitted with fine materials. Its interior was arranged meticulously for a comfortable and ergonomic ride. It also gets a new multifunction steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather.
The seats all are clad with a combination of Artico man-made leather and Dinamica microfiber. Also, the front seats are electronically adjustable, and they offer 4-way lumbar support. The rear seats also come with a split-folding function for more practicality.

Other interior features present on the 2022 Mercedes-Benz E-Class include an automatic rearview mirror, ambient lighting, and automatic climate control.
Tech & Safety
For safety, we can say that the new E-Class is loaded. Starting with standard features, it gets side airbags, dual-front airbags, as well as window airbags for the front and rear cabins. Also standard on this model is anti-lock braking with electronic brake-force distribution, electronic stability control, ISOFIX child seat anchors, tire pressure monitoring, hill-start assist, a reversing camera, runflat tires, among others.
On the more high-tech side of safety, the model in question comes equipped with a whole host of driver-assist features. These include driver attention alert, pedestrian protection via an active bonnet, active brake assist, active park assist, a preventive occupant protection system, etc.
The headunit is seamlessly connected to the digital gauge cluster
As for on-board entertainment, the new E-Class then comes with an MBUX multimedia system paired with a Burmester surround sound speaker set. The said touchscreen is capable of connecting to smartphones via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Also present on this model are power closing doors, cruise control with a variable speed limiter, contactless trunk opening and closing, wireless phone charging, electronic roller sunblinds for the rear windows, as well as rain-sensing wipers.
Engine
Under the hood of the 2022 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a 2.0-liter inline-4 gasoline engine. At maximum, it can make up to 197 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque.
As with the previous E-Class versions, the new one is rear-wheel-drive. It also gets a similar nine-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters.

According to Mercedes-Benz, the new E-Class can reach a top speed of 240 km/h. It also has a zero to 100 km/h time of 7.4 seconds. On the other hand, the 2022 E-Class is now available in all Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the Philippines with a suggested retail price of Php 5,390,000.
