It will compete against the Toyota Innova and Maxus G50.

Chinese car brand GAC Motor is offering the country a wide array of vehicles with great value and relatively affordable pricing. Legado Motors, Inc., the official distributor of GAC Motor vehicles in the country, is adding a new 7-seater vehicle to its model lineup called the GN6.

The GAC GN6 was initially released in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but has now made its way into the local market. It will be joining the competitive MPV segment in the country that includes rivals such as the Toyota Innova and the Maxus G50.

Exterior

The exterior features of the GAC GN6 include evident body character lines that run from the headlights with wing-shaped daytime running lights (DRL) to the taillights. The GAC GN6 isn’t difficult to recognize as it shares a bit of a similarity to the Maxus G50. Both Chinese MPVs also share similar dimensions.

The taillights are LED paired with a braking light strip, similar to the GN8 minivan. GAC Motor Philippines is offering the GN6 with three body colors, namely pearl white, elegant black, and peacock blue.

Interior

Passengers will benefit from its comfortable and spacious interior good for seven adults. The second-row has captain seats that come with armrests for enhanced comfort. Seats can also be adjusted frontwards and backward to maximize interior space.

Roomy and comfortable interior

One of the features that make the GAC GN6 more comfortable is its 360-degree quiet car technology that cancels ambient noise from its surroundings. The GAC GN6 offers a 324-liter trunk space that can be expanded to 1,100 liters when third-row seats are folded down.

Tech and Safety

A more innovative driving feel is incorporated in the GAC GN6 as it comes with a 7-inch instrument display and 8-inch infotainment housed in a single panel for a sleek look. The infotainment screen is paired with Bluetooth connectivity and a 6-speaker system.

Two digital screens add a modern appeal

As for safety, the GAC GN6 is equipped with front dual airbags, front side airbags, electronic stability program (ESP), anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), traction control system (TCS), hill-ascent and descent controls, a rearview camera, parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and more.

Engine

Under the hood, the GAC GN6 is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four engine that produces 170 hp and 265 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission only.

A great design from bumper to bumper

It is also equipped with a Bosch 200bar in-cylinder fuel injection technology for enhanced fuel efficiency. According to GAC, this feature can help the GN6 to provide a fuel consumption rating of 14 km/l.

Pricing

GAC Motor Philippines is offering the new GAC GN6 with a sticker price of Php 1,480,000. Interest individuals may now pre-order the GAC GN6 with a reservation fee of Php 50,000. A Php 100,000 discount voucher is given for those who will pre-order before March 31, 2021. Moreover, the new 7-seater MPV comes with a 5-year warranty, or 150,000 km (whichever comes first).
