Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) announces that it will soon commence the Vios Cup and GR GT Cup this 2021. Last year, the race series was postponed due to the global health crisis. As such, both the Toyota race series this year will be undertaken with full compliance to safety protocols against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Toyota Gazoo Racing – Vios Cup will be held at the Clark International Speedway with no crowds to maintain social distancing. Fortunately, the Vios Cup will be streamed live so racing fans can still watch the event in the comfort of their homes. TMP is projecting the Vios Cup to start around July 2021 if no threats of COVID-19 are monitored among participants.

On the other hand, the GR GT Cup, which is now on its second season, is an e-racing series through the Gran Turismo game on Playstation. Just like the Vios Cup, the GR GT Cup e-Motorsport Series will be held online for safety purposes and will start in April.
Interested racers for the Vios Cup may inquire through the event’s secretariat managed by TMP’s official race management partner Tuason Racing via email address vioscupsecretariat@gmail.com. Meanwhile, registration for the GR GT Cup has now started via toyota.com.ph/gtcup.
The Vios Cup will be held at the Clark International Speedway
“While the race itself will be done live at the Clark International Speedway with no on-site spectators, more fans can enjoy watching the event as a digital spectacle. Supporters all over the world may follow and view the Toyota Gazoo Racing – Vios Cup online in the safety of their own homes,” said Sherwin Chualim, TMP’s First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations.
“Fans can look forward to significant improvements in the production to make the live stream doubly exciting and worth catching. Online fan engagements and brand-building experiences will also be boosted through the support of the Toyota Gazoo Racing global brand and the addition of the GR GT Cup e-Motorsport (online racing) activities.”
