The Toyota Supra might be a global model, but there are some things that the Japanese like to keep for themselves. One of those is the sport grand tourer’s latest variant that’s set to become the most sought-after of its kind in its home market.
Only 50 Japanese customers will get the chance to own this rare Toyota Supra
This is the GR Supra Matte White Edition, and it’s said to be so exclusive, customers can only have it if they’re one of 50 lucky individuals drawn in a raffle. Entries for the draw are currently being accepted until August 21, with deliveries commencing by October.
What can owners expect on the Supra Matte White Edition in exchange for its ¥7,890,000 (over Php 3.21 million) asking price? For starters, there’s the unique Matte Avalanche White Metallic exterior finish. This is accompanied by tan leather in the cabin, covering the seats, center console, steering wheel, and lower portions of the doors.

Adding to the bragging rights is a Matte White Edition badge and a sketch of the sports car, rendered in carbon fiber and mounted on the dashboard.
As the latest Supra variant is based on the range-topping RZ trim, an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 12-speaker JBL sound setup, USB port, and wireless charging form part of the standard equipment.
A special plaque is mounted on the dashboard
Mechanically, this Supra still runs on 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine that makes 382 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. Power is routed to the rear wheels via Toyota’s six-speed intelligent manual transmission (iMT) that matches engine speed to clutch and shift input, automatically blipping the throttle during gear changes.
An active rear differential is also included in the mix. Handling is supplied by revised settings for the Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), Electric Power Steering (EPS), and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) systems.
Being based on the RZ trim, the limited-edition Supra comes with Toyota's new six-speed intelligent manual gearbox
Seeing how the Philippine-spec Supra continues to be the standard version with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, the Toyota Supra Matte White Edition will likely be just a pipe dream for local fans.
