As 2022 rolled in, Suzuki Philippines has announced that it has adjusted the prices of the popular Swift-based Dzire five-seater sedan model.
The Suzuki Dzire
To be exact, the Philippine-spec Dzire’s GL MT is now Php 10,000 more expensive, whereas the GL+ AGS variant is now Php 11,000 more expensive. To provide a better picture of the said price increase, here is a table showing both the old and new prices for the Suzuki Dzire.
Price Increase | ||
Variant | New Price 2022 | Old Price |
Dzire GA MT | Php 559,000 | Php 559,000 |
Dzire GL MT | Php 658,000 | Php 648,000 |
Dzire GL+ AGS | Php 719,000 | Php 708,000 |
As one can see from the table, the only variant that didn’t get a price increase is the entry-level Dzire GA MT variant.
Suzuki PH also didn’t mention any reasons for the price increase. That said though, it is common practice for manufacturers to adjust a model’s price tag year by year for a variety of reasons. This may be related to the supply of the said model, the global chip shortage, the demand for the said vehicle, and many other possible reasons.
Of note, the Suzuki Dzire is a subcompact four-door sedan that comes equipped with a 1.2-liter inline-4 gasoline engine. The said power unit puts out 82 hp and 113 Nm of torque.
Inside the Suzuki Dzire
Depending on the variant, the Dzire can either come with a five-speed manual gearbox, or a five-speed auto gear-shift (AGS) transmission. Like most sedans in the market, the Dzire is a front-wheel-drive model.
When it comes to features, the top-spec Dzire GL+ AGS comes standard with a seven-inch headunit with Bluetooth and USB connectivity. It also has two front airbags, an engine immobilizer, anti-lock braking with electronic brake-force distribution, fabric seats, manual air-conditioning, among others.
