Nissan Philippines is set to compete in the 2024 Ironman Philippines this April as it announced that it will be pitting three groups to represent the car brand.
The Ironman 70.3 triathlon event, which will be held in Mactan, Cebu on April 21, 2024, features three courses that include Swim, Bike, and Run. The Nissan Philippines team will consist of three groups: the Nissan Brand Ambassador group, the Nissan Employee group, and the Nissan Dealer Principals group.
Matteo Guidicelli will lead the Brand Ambassador group, and he will kick off the triathlon in a 1.9-kilometer swim course. Guidicelli will then be followed by actress Bubbles Paraiso who will be tackling the 90-kilometer bike segment. Meanwhile, Nissan PH president Juan Manuel Hoyos will be doing the 21-kilometer run to complete the course.
The Nissan PH Tri team also represents the daring spirit of the overall Nissan Philippines network of nearly 4,000 dealers and employees, showcasing their relentless dedication and truly personifying the Adventurers for Life mentality.
The Nissan PH Employee group will consist of the following: Wataru Goto, Jolo Aranas, and Emman San Luis. The Nissan PH Dealer Principals group will be composed of Ryan Chan, Vince Licup, and RJ Jimenez.
"Our Nissan tri team comprises not just employees, dealers, and ambassadors, but passionate individuals showcasing Nissan's DNA – daring to do what others don't. We dare to innovate, challenge norms and set goals as One Nissan team to champion what truly fuels our drive for excellence and excitement,” said Hoyos.
The Ironman Philippines triathlon event was founded in 2013 and has established itself as one of the most anticipated triathlon races in the country. Nissan PH said that has over 2,000 participants from 46 countries, aged between 25 and 60 years old.
The Ironman triathlon offers participants an exciting race with multiple endurance courses that are designed to push its participants to their limits. This year, Ironman Philippines is bringing its endurance race to the Historic Resort City of Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu in April.
On the other hand, Nissan PH recently introduced the updated Urvan and Terra, which are equipped with more standard features that are meant to further improve safety and convenience.
