Ford can make it happen depending on the market demand.

The possibility of the Ford Everest earning the Raptor badge has been discussed in the automotive industry and car enthusiast circles for quite some time now. To give us a glimpse of how the performance-oriented 7-seater SUV could look like, Kolesa.ru released unofficial renders based on the latest iteration of the Ford Ranger Raptor.

Note that Kolesa chose to base the render on the Raptor-badged pickup. This is deemed logical since the new Raptor, the new Ranger, and the new Everest all use the same second-generation T6 platform.

At the front of the rendered Ford Everest Raptor is a squared-off fascia. It then gets a blacked-out grille as the noticeable design tweak. The new grille spells out “FORD,” and is flanked by C-shaped headlamp clusters also found in standard versions.

The wheel arches then come with black-colored fenders, which are said to allow the SUV to accommodate larger wheels with off-road tires. These also add an off-road appeal that’s suitable for vehicles wearing the Raptor badge. Other styling details found on the render include Raptor decals, black plastic trims on the rear bumper, and a twin-exhaust setup.

No renders on the interior have been provided. But if we base it on the 2nd-gen Ranger Raptor, the Everest Raptor could get orange accents and stitching, Raptor badges, and a vertical touchscreen capable of aiding off-road adventures.

While Kolesa didn’t mention any powertrain details, it is highly possible that a model like the Everest Raptor might get the same power unit as the Ranger Raptor.

For your reference, one powertrain available to the latest Ford Ranger Raptor is a 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 bi-turbo gasoline engine that can make up to 392 horsepower and 583 Nm of torque. This engine is then paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

In our previous report, we spoke to Ford Everest chief platform engineer Ian Foston, and he said that the Everest Raptor isn’t on Ford’s priority list. But the Blue Oval company isn’t shutting its doors just yet as it could produce the model depending on the market demand. By then, we will see how close the promising unofficial renders are to the actual production model.
