Hyundai Motor Philippines, Inc. (HMPH) has expanded its dealership network with the opening of a new outlet in Makati.

The Hyundai Makati dealership is considered a milestone for the company as it is also the country’s first authorized retailer and service provider of electric vehicles (EVs). Gateway Group is tasked to manage the new dealership, and it is likewise responsible for rolling out efforts to ensure the brand's growth in the area.
“Now, Hyundai is certainly a reputable brand, which has certainly stood the test of time, and we have very much enthused to jumpstart this venture and journey. The Hyundai brand has captured the hearts of many Filipino years ago and now with this economy thriving, with the market in high demand, we are eager to capitalize on all opportunities,” said Gateway Group Executive Vice President Michael Goho.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5
Hyundai Makati features a 1,167 sqm service area that's equipped with six work bays and two work bays dedicated to EVs. Present inside the service area is a 22 kW AC charger and a 50 kW DC charger. The more powerful DC charger is capable of charging batteries from 20 percent to 80 percent in 30 minutes. This new Hyundai dealership also features a 280 sqm showroom that can display up to five vehicles.
Visitors can get to know more about the Korean automaker’s Philippine lineup consisting of the Creta, Palisade, Santa Fe, Stargazer, Staria, and Tucson. The company is also offering the Ioniq 5, an all-electric compact crossover that will help expand the EV market in the country.
With Hyundai’s first authorized EV retailer and service provider, HMPH can assure convenient EV ownership. The company is offering the Ioniq 5 with an 8-year or 160,000 battery warranty (whichever comes first), as well as a 5-year or 200,000 km warranty and a 5-year or 75,000 km free maintenance package.
For those interested, the Ioniq 5 has two different variants for the Philippine market. There's the Standard Range 2WD version priced at Php 3,068,000 and the top-spec Long Range 2WD which is available for Php 3,698,000. Available color options for the Ioniq 5 includes Abyss Black Pearl, Cyber Gray Metallic, Atlas White, and Gravity Gold. Note that Gravity Gold is the sole color choice that comes with a matte finish.

You can visit the Hyundai Makati along the automotive strip of Chino Roces Avenue Extension. It is the first of five authorized EV dealers in the country. The four other EV dealers will be launched in Alabang, Cebu North, Pampanga, and Pasig this year.
