Many car brands have complied with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)’s safeguard duty that adds Php 70,000 to imported passenger vehicles. MG Philippines, on the other hand, decided not to impose the tax on its lineup’s suggested retail price (SRP) until May 15, 2021.
This means that MG vehicles offered in the local market will retain their current price tags. The British-bred car brand said that it will cover the provisional safeguard measures to provide customers with a more affordable payment scheme without additional fees.
