Auto Nation Group (ANG) announced that it successfully turned over a new fleet of Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks to Agojo Transport Corporation. The event was graced by key representatives of concerned companies including ANG Chief Operating Officer (COO) Francis Ang and Agojo Transport President Norman Agojo.

A new truck fleet for Agojo Transport Corporation

Agojo Transport Corporation is a long-distance fuel transportation company responsible for hauling fuel across the island of Luzon. This job requires reliable mobility that can transport the fuel products safely considering their hazards. High safety standards should be taken into account to smoothly run the Batangas-based company’s operations.

With that being said, Agojo Transport Corporation has chosen Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles as its mobility partner with the Actros trucks. This German truck was honored with the 2020 Truck of the Year award with its excellent tech and safety features, setting the bar high among its rivals.

One of the noteworthy features of the Actros truck is its Active Brake Assist 5 (ABA5), which is the system’s fifth-gen version. The ABA5 assists drivers by applying maximum full-stop braking when approaching stationary or moving objects. Also, it applies partial or maximum full-stop braking for moving pedestrians.

Considering that long-distance haul of fuel products will always be hazardous on the road, the ABA5 can be a useful safety feature in Agojo Transport Corporation’s operations. The new fleet of Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks will help mitigate or prevent accidents, benefiting both the drivers and other road users. Agojo Transport Corporation is the first truck fleet in the country to offer ABA5.

The trucks are equipped with the ABA5

With Mercedes-Benz trucks, ANG is looking to strengthen the presence of the German marque’s commercial vehicles (CVs). Last year, the car company managed to sell 17 CV units as per the report of the Association of Vehicle Importers and Distributors, Inc. (AVID), with the CV segment improving by 212-percent YTD in sales.
