Kia Philippines has been chosen as the partner of Fiber Infrastructure and Network Services Inc. (FINSI) in expanding its business network in the country. The Korean automaker turned over 30 units of the Kia K2500 Kargo to the telecommunication service company which will be used for its day-to-day operations.

Intending to become the leading local solutions provider for the telecommunications and technology industries, FINSI decided to choose a reliable workhorse vehicle such as the Kia K2500. The turned-over commercial vehicles (CVs) are geared to make the telecom company’s vision come to life.

“We are on a mission to accelerate the Philippines into a connected nation, using innovative, leading-edge technologies and world-class local expertise. Our partnership with Kia will help our field teams with providing installation and maintenance services on fiber network around the country,” said FINSI CEO Mharicar Reyes.

The body configuration chosen by FINSI was the Kia K2500 Karga which offers a 19-seating capacity and more space at the back. Considering that the company wants to expand its network nationwide, its mobility partner should be able to haul its staff and equipment to provide stable internet connections.

A big step for both companies

To keep its workforce comfortable on the go, the K2500 Karga offers rear aircon vents. With this, the vehicle is able to provide the best working conditions for the people who strive to improve and advance connectivity in the Philippines.

Powering the Kia K2500 Karga is a 2.5-liter CRDi engine that is capable of generating 128 hp and 255 Nm of torque at 1,500 to 3,500 rpm. The available drivetrain conflagrations are 4x2 (RWD) or 4x4, making it a versatile vehicle that can drive around the city or tackle rough roads. Only a 6-speed manual transmission is used across the range.

“The Kia K2500 is one of the ways Kia Philippines can inspire and care for companies. It is spec’d and packed with features that make business operations so much easier,” said Kia Philippines President Manny Aligada.
