At the event, examples of both the D-Max and mu-X showed off their flexibility. Each model display was equipped with camping equipment like roof tents, cargo racks, awnings, and many more components.
Likewise highlighted are the two aforementioned models’ 3.0–liter 4JJ3-TCX turbodiesel engines. As per Isuzu, this four-banger mill has enough oomph to provide its owners with confidence in taking on rough terrain. To be more specific, it can output 187 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque.
Going back to the event itself, it was led by Chief Adventure Officer of Overland Kings Joel Pedro. For those curious, the event is a way of showing the public what overlanding is with the help of display vehicles, fun activities, and expert talks on 4x4 driving and overlanding basics.
Other noteworthy activities at the 2024 Overland Kings CampOut were an acoustic musical performance and a fireworks display for the Chinese New Year. These were held on the night of February 11, the second day of the event.
