Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has named Isuzu Makati as the 2023 Dealer of the Year. This is the second consecutive year that Isuzu Makati clinched IPC’s Dealer of the Year award.
The Dealer of the Year Awards (DOYA) is an annual event organized by Isuzu Philippines that intends to celebrate the outstanding achievements and exceptional performance of its nationwide dealer network. Isuzu Makati, under Gencars, Inc., managed to best all Isuzu dealers in the Philippines last 2023, which is a repeat of its performance back in 2022.
IPC said that Isuzu Makati emerged at the forefront of this year’s awards, demonstrating unparalleled performance and customer loyalty. Isuzu Gencars Group chairman Edgard Cabangon extended his appreciation to IPC for its unwavering support and acknowledged his team’s dedication, which has been instrumental in earning customer loyalty and achieving the dealership’s goal.
Meanwhile, Isuzu Subic and Isuzu Cagayan De Oro secured the second and third place, respectively during Isuzu Philippines’ 2023 DOYA.
IPC president Tetsuya Fujita also expressed his gratitude towards the brand’s dealer network. Fujita said that IPC’s dealer network played a significant role in maintaining Isuzu’s leadership in the truck segment for 25 consecutive years as it captured 43 percent market share in 2023.
Fujita also posed a challenge to the dealer network to bolster its Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) business and to continue creating innovative business solutions for its customers across the country.
IPC previously announced that the Traviz LCV has reached over 20,500 units sold since its launch in 2019. IPC shared that this is a testament to the Taviz’s popularity as a preferred vehicle of choice for small businesses nationwide.
Isuzu’s DOYA also recognized excellence in various operational areas, with special awards being distributed for achievements in Sales, Parts, and Service Operations. Isuzu Subic won the Sales Operations Category followed by Isuzu Makati and then Isuzu Alabang.
Isuzu Bulacan took the top spots for the Parts Operations Category, followed by Isuzu Makati and Isuzu Cagayan De Oro. For the Service Operations Category, Isuzu Sta. Rosa won first place, followed by Isuzu Calapan and Isuzu Cagayan De Oro respectively.
Individual accolades were also presented to sales executives who showed outstanding performance, with Isuzu Alabang’s Rica Anne Quico being named as the 2023 Sales Executive of the Year. The awards ceremony also highlighted performers in truck sales with Grant Jehiel Endriga from Isuzu Cagayan De Oro receiving the 2023 Truck Elite of the Year award.
