ANCAP reports that the Hyundai Staria performed well across all areas of the crash test as it showed good protection to all critical body regions. It even got a perfect score when it comes to the side impact crash test.

The five-star ANCAP safety rating was achieved by the Hyundai Staria through its comprehensive set of safety features that includes side airbags, a center airbag, autonomous emergency braking (AEB), and lane support system.

In detail, ANCAP rated the Staria with 32.4 out of 38 points (85 percent) in Adult Occupant Protection, 42.3 out of 49 points (86 percent) in Child Occupant Protection, 35.7 out of 54 points (65 percent) in Road User Protection, and 11.9 out of 16 points (74 percent) in Safety Assist. The ratings are enough to allow the Hyundai Staria to have the highest five-star ANCAP safety rating.

Aside from the Staria, the all-new Hyundai Tucson also managed to bag a five-star ANCAP safety rating. The Tucson scored 33 out of 38 points (86 percent) in the Adult Occupant Protection, 42.8 out of 49 points (87 percent) in the Child Occupant Protection, 36.1 out of 54 points (66 percent) in the Road Users Protection, and 11.3 out of 16 points (70 percent) in Safety Assist.
