In its mission to provide “Safety For Everyone”, Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) has partnered up with the local branch of youth organization AISEC. Via this partnership, HCPI invited 22 AISEC members to the Road Safety and Honda Sensing Experience for Students. It was held last October 8 at the HCPI office in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

The 22 AISEC participants who attended the said event are from seven different colleges and universities around the Philippines. All of them are youth leaders.
For those not familiar, AISEC was previously known as Association internationale des étudiants en sciences économiques et commerciales (International Association of Students in Economics and Business). But since members from different courses and universities are now accepted, it is now officially known as AISEC.
With regards as to why AISEC was invited in the first place, HCPI President Masahiko Nakamura said that apart from developing automotive safety technologies, their mission also involves “contributing to the development of society.” So by educating young folks who will eventually become the future leaders of tomorrow, the automaker “can be more effective in preventing traffic accidents and injuries.”

During the program with the AISEC members, Honda facilitated engaging discussions concerning road safety, pre-drive inspections, defensive driving, avoiding distracted driving, traffic rules and regulations, and many other motoring and safety-related topics.
AISEC members also had the opportunity to experience for themselves what the Honda Sensing suite is capable of. This was done via supervised drives using the all-new Honda Civic and the all-new HR-V.
The Honda Sensing suite for both models consists of collision mitigation braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation, and lead car departure notification, among other features.
