Japanese automaker Honda recently unveiled the 2022 Civic Hatchback which is its 11th-generation model. Looking at the new hatch, one can say that it is designed with a more mature approach inside and out, shying away from the unmistakable sporty nature normally seen from the previous generations.
Honda Civic Hatchback Mugen
So for those yearning for that sportier Civic Hatchback appearance, it can be addressed with the latest Mugen parts. Mugen is an in-house tuning division for Honda that offers OEM parts and accessories such as bumpers, sports exhausts, spoiler, and more.
With the “Dynamic & Sports” concept, the Honda Civic Hatchback Mugen is available with blacked-out exterior upgrades including a front splitter, side skirts, side mirrors, rain visors, rear spats, and a subtle wing or spoiler. The trapezoidal exhaust tips are replaced with sportier-looking pipes for a more elaborate rear fascia.
New 18-inch forged alloy wheels are also part of the upgrades, providing a sporty finish rather than a flashy one seen from the standard model. Honda’s tuning division added “Mugen” decals on the front and side to flaunt that the hatch got the Mugen treatment.
Adding sportier details to the design
As for the interior, no upgrades have been revealed by Mugen just yet. But the company said that one of the enhancements includes better cabin ventilation. Mugen will reveal its works for the 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback this coming September 3.
The Honda Civic Hatchback is powered by a 1.5-liter VTEC turbocharged engine that can deliver a maximum power output of 180 hp and 240 Nm of torque. The engine is connected to either a six-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Aside from Mugen, Modulo has also rolled out its OEM parts and kits for the 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback. It includes upgrades such as a front lower skirt, Modulo aluminum wheels, a ‘Honda’ pattern projector, tailgate spoiler, among others.
