Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) announced that it will also launch the facelifted Brio hatchback this week. It will be making its Philippine debut alongside the refreshed Honda City on July 13.
Facelifted Honda Brio
Unlike the City sedan, Honda Philippines has yet to share the specs, variants, and prices of the facelifted Brio. The Honda subcompact hatchback first debuted in Indonesia last May 2023 featuring a new front end.
It comes with a larger grille design as well as a revamped front bumper, giving it a wider fascia as compared to the outgoing model. The new grille, which Honda calls the “diamond grille,” shares a bit of similarity with the one fitted on the Honda HR-V RS Turbo. The Honda Brio is also equipped with restyled headlights, giving it a more imposing look. The fog lights join the list of revamped designs seen on the new Brio.

In Indonesia, the facelifted Honda Brio is offered in three variant options: S MT, E MT, and E CVT. The sportier-looking RS trim is also included in the variant lineup. But interestingly, Honda Indonesia is offering the new Brio RS with a choice of either a manual gearbox or a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
The Indo-spec Honda Brio comes with the same 1.2-liter gasoline engine that produces 89 hp and 110 Nm of torque. From the looks of it, the upcoming PH-spec 2024 Honda Brio could come with the same power unit.
The new Honda Brio RS that debuted in Indonesia comes with the familiar layout seen on the old model. It did receive subtle design tweaks as seen on the reduced red-orange accent on the dashboard. It also comes with a new dark gray accent on the dashboard seen on the passenger side. The said interior layout could most likely mirror the upcoming PH-spec Brio.

An updated infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can also be found on the Indo-spec Brio. The said feature could most likely be offered in the PH-spec Honda Brio as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are becoming essential nowadays. It will also be a welcome feature since the outgoing Brio that the local market offers don’t come with the said smartphone mirroring apps.
The facelifted 2024 Honda Brio will be debuting in the Philippines on July 13. It will be joined by the refreshed City, which will come standard with Honda Sensing advanced driver-assist technology.
A new Wigo is just around the corner
Meanwhile, Toyota Motor Philippines is also set to launch the new Wigo. It will be happening on July 14, 2023, which is a day after the Brio’s Philippine debut.
