Ford Philippines recently held a Christmas party for underprivileged communities in partnership with Gawad Kalinga (GK).

The Blue Oval company drove to the GK Ave Maria site in Rizal, El Dorado in Parañaque, as well as various GK communities in Mandaluyong for Christmas activities. Joining the activities were employee volunteers from Ford and members of the automotive media, including our very own Content Editor, Martin Aguilar.

Also part of the event were various Ford vehicles, among them the next-gen iterations of the Ranger and Everest. The two midsize models hauled Christmas grocery packages which were distributed to the children for their families in time for Noche Buena. Other activities include Pinoy fiesta games and the kids serenading the audience with Christmas songs and carols.

In attendance from Ford Philippines are Managing Director Mike Breen and Government and Corporate Affairs Director Josie Gonzales.

“Helping build and sustain communities remains one of our important advocacies at Ford. Christmas is a season of giving and a good opportunity to share blessings, most especially to young children who always look forward to this time of the year,” said Gonzales. “We’re very happy to have returned to in-person celebrations as seeing the smiles from the kids and their families further inspires us to help more and to give more.”

“We thank Ford Philippines for consistently being part of meaningful initiatives and programs such as our annual Christmas outreach. We look forward to reaching out to more families and communities in the years to come with Ford as a reliable and valued partner,” said Gawad Kalinga Chairman Jose Luis Oquinena.

This Christmas party isn’t the only initiative Ford Philippines rolled out to give back to the community. Last September, the company celebrated its annual Global Caring Month, which saw the distribution of goods, grocery items, and medicines to GK families and senior citizens.
