This off-road ready rig is smart.

In being a tough midsize SUV, there’s no doubt that the all-new 2023 Ford Everest remains to be a potent off-road rig. But beyond high ground clearance, 4x4 drivetrain, ladder-frame chassis and rear differential locks, Ford says the Everest’s high-tech features further enhance its capabilities when tackling rough terrain.

Next Gen Ford Everest Capability

On the next-gen Everest for instance, there are now six drive modes. There’s normal mode, and the new Eco mode to maximize fuel economy. Also new is the tow or haul mode which optimizes shift timing for steady power delivery.

For the more off-road side of things, the Everest also has the mud drive mode, slippery, and sand mode. In these three, the SUV’s engine and gearbox are honed for extra traction and vehicle control.

The dedicated SYNC off-road screen mode is also present on the new Everest. In this case, the vehicle’s cameras will provide a feed of predictive steering overlays. Think of this as some sort of high-tech spotter which can warn you of on-coming obstacles that you might want to avoid on a trail.

On the Everest’s 4x4 variants, switching from 4x2 to 4x4 is also made easy thanks to its shift-on-the-fly transfer case. As standard, this comes standard with a 4x2-high mode, 4x4-high mode, and 4x4-low mode.

The 2023 Ford Everest is already a capable off-road platform, as we’ve mentioned above. This of course was ensured via a battery of testing in a variety of off-road terrain. In fact, Ford took it on rigorous test runs in more than 10 countries.

From the harsh Australian outback, the jungles of Thailand, the cold mountains of New Zealand, and the deserts of Dubai. In all of those places, the next-gen Everest and the technologies that are packaged with it, have been proven to provide a confident off-road ride for experts and novices alike.

In the Philippine market, the 2023 Ford Everest has a total of five variants. These range from Php 1,799,000 to Php 2,495,000. So if you’re looking for a sure-footed SUV on and off the road, you might want to consider the Blue Oval’s entry into the midsize SUV market.
