The beneficiaries of this food donation initiative include the children and elderly of the Missionaries of the Poor, the fire victims in San Andres Manila, and prisoners in Malabon, Las Piñas, and Mandaluyong.
On top of that, the car brand’s donation drive also saw the handing over of used billboard tarpaulins. These were taken down previously to protect fishing businesses in Bulacan during the rainy season. In gratitude, the fisherfolks donated 160 kilos of fish to Chery PH, which in turn was donated to Kawa Pilipinas to support its regular feeding programs for the less fortunate.
Also lending a hand during the donation activities was the Chery Tiggo Crossovers (CTC) volleyball team. Specifically, the team helped in packing and distributing food for the children supported by the Missionaries of the Poor in Manila.
“Hunger has been a major problem in the country. With this initiative, Chery Auto Philippines would like to be a part of the solution in nourishing a future, one food pack at a time. With this, we would like to convey that there’s more to our brand than offering vehicles that cater to our customer’s needs, we also offer to pay it forward and feed hope to those who are in need,” said Chery Auto Philippines Managing Director Froilan Dytianquin.

Chery’s positive impact extends beyond the local community. On a more global scale, the brand has already partnered up with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) a few months ago. Through this partnership, the car manufacturer donated $ 6,000,000 (around Php 340 million) to UNICEF’s education programs in China, Mexico, South Africa, and Turkey.
