Chery Auto Philippines is expanding its electrified lineup with the preview of the eQ7, eQ1, and Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) at the 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS). These models will join the Chery Tiggo 5x Pro Hybrid, Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid, and Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV in providing greener mobility alternatives.

The Chery eQ7 is an all-electric compact crossover built with an all-aluminum body structure similar to the Audi A8 and Range Rover Evoque. With a drag coefficient of 0.31 supported by an active grille system, the electric vehicle (EV) offers a driving range of more than 500 km. It can generate 208 horsepower and 285 Nm of torque.
Advanced technologies are also integrated into the model, such as an L2+ semi-autonomous driving system that also monitors the driver for safety. Other amenities include dual-zone climate control, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch infotainment system.

Meanwhile, the Chery eQ1 is the smaller EV sibling of the eQ7. According to Chery Auto Philippines, the model comes with a four-seater cabin and a range of up to 280 km. In terms of performance, the single-motor setup can produce 74 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque. The eQ1 should rival the Jetour Ice Cream EV upon its Philippine debut.
As for the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, the compact crossover gets a PHEV powertrain capable of propelling the vehicle using electricity only. Running with the same 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, the model boasts three driving modes: full EV mode, hybrid mode, and pure internal combustion engine mode. Combined, the Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV’s electric motor and combustion engine can output a total of 322 horsepower and 545 Nm of torque.

Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Launch
Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. officially launched the new Tiggo 7 Pro at the 2020 Beijing Auto Show. It comes with an aggressive design along with sleek character lines. The Tiggo 7 Pro also features a sporty and premium-looking interior that’s highlighted by a two-tone interior color scheme of black and red.

Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Exterior
The new Chery Tiggo 7 Pro has an aggressive exterior design. It is fitted with sharp-looking LED headlights and a large grille that features a 3D-like appeal. The Tiggo 7 Pro’s fascia also gets an angular bumper that adds a muscular look to the vehicle. Of note, the Tiggo 7 Pro doesn’t come with fog lamps but it has shark-fin LED daytime running lights instead.
At the side, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro comes with distinctive character lines as well as a set of stylish two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear is equipped with LED taillights as well as a tailgate-mounted spoiler with third brake light.
Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Interior
The interior of the new Chery Tiggo 7 Pro features a two-tone color scheme of black and red. It has a premium vibe and comes with design elements you usually see on luxury cars. This compact crossover also has a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an electronic gear shifter, and an electronic parking brake. Moreover, the Tiggo 7 Pro features a panoramic sunroof as well as a 10.25-inch multimedia touchscreen.
The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Philippines can accommodate up to five individuals. In terms of cargo space, Chery's compact crossover comes standard with 475 liters of luggage space. The said number increases significantly to 1,500 liters when the rear seats are folded down.
Tech & Safety
The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro 2024 is equipped with a bunch of tech and safety features starting with the 10.25-inch multimedia touchscreen that has Apple CarPlay and Mirror Link for Android. Chery said that it also comes with a 360-degree camera and wireless mobile charging. In terms of safety, the Tiggo 7 Pro is integrated with Driver and Front Passenger airbags, as well as front-side airbags. It also has an anti-lock brake system with electronic brake-force distribution, electronic stability program, brake assist, traction control, hill start assist, and hill descent assist, among others.
Platform & Chassis
The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro comes with a MacPherson strut front suspension while the rear gets multilink. In terms of braking power, the vehicle is equipped with disc brakes for all four wheels.
