The unique-looking quad exhaust is also made available in the subcompact M2.

The all-new version of the BMW M2 just made its debut last week with a huge styling jump that makes it at par with its bigger M siblings. Now, the German automaker isn’t done with surprises as the M Performance Parts of the subcompact executive coupe have been unveiled.

In two separate Instagram posts by wilcoblok, the auto photographer shared the look of the 2023 BMW M2 with M Performance Parts. These are official as BMW M GmbH also posted some of the photos on its feed just after the release of the next-gen model.

At the front, the sports car gets a new front splitter finished with tall canards on each side. The square air intakes appear to receive more carbon fiber treatment as opposed to the standard version that only has it on its inner area. In one of the versions, the hood comes with what looks like a black decal, complementing that new black roof.

It gets a high-performance look

The carbon fiber treatment continues to the side profile as the wheel arches are installed with carbon fiber attachments. Moreover, the carbon fiber winglets are mounted on the side profile near the rear wheels. Speaking of wheels, the M Performance version gets a unique set of 10-spoke blacked-out alloys.

And over to the back, the sports car is equipped with a quad exhaust setup packed into the center of the rear bumper. As unique as it looks, this is not the first time we’ve seen this type as the BMW M3 and M4 are also available with it. Other M Performance Parts at the rear include carbon fiber surrounds for the reflectors, a tall wing, and a roof-mounted spoiler.

For those who don’t fancy the M Performance Parts, they can save off the 2023 BMW M2’s starting price at $63,195 (or around Php 3.7 million). It will go on sale first in Germany and the United States in April 2023, with markets such as Great Britain, China, and Japan expected to follow.
