The holiday week has always been bringing heavy traffic due to motorists flocking to the roads and celebrations extending to the streets. So in preparation for the New Year’s Eve Countdown in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), the city of Taguig will temporarily close the 5th Avenue.

For your reference, the 5th Avenue in BGC will be closed from midnight of December 29, 2022 (Thursday) until 4:00 p.m. on January 1, 2023 (Sunday). As usual, the street will be used to hold concerts as we welcome the New Year. This year, Alive! 2023 will be leading the celebration.
Alive! 2023 will be joined by renowned artists including Bamboo, Sarah G, Morisette Amon, Ebe Dancel, G-Force, and DJ Mike Lavet. The event will start at 6:00 p.m. for the Community New Year’s Eve mass, and later be opened by a performance from DJ Mike Lavet. Grand fireworks and pyromusical displays will be held at the event.
The road closure advisory
So if your route will be affected by the road closure, the city of Taguig advised all vehicles to take alternate routes, namely the 3rd Avenue and 9th Avenue. With it, you can avoid inconvenience on the road. You can also reach your destination on time for the New Year celebration without delays.
But if you plan to join Alive! 2023, do note that it is free of charge. The organizers will be imposing restrictions for the safety and convenience of eventgoers. Some of these include no smoking, no fireworks or any kind of pyrotechnics, no alcohol, and no laser pens.
