Gasoline, kerosene prices rise while diesel cheaper December 27

Mixed fuel price adjustments await consumers this week.

Motorists wake up to mixed fuel price movements for the week of December 27, two days after Christmas, with gasoline and kerosene more expensive per liter as diesel prices fall slightly.

Both major and independent oil players implemented uniform price adjustments across the board for their respective petroleum products. 

The earliest among the Big Three oil players was Caltex, raising prices per liter by Php 0.95 per liter for its Silver 91 and Platinum 95 gasoline blends. Kerosene prices also went up by Php 0.50 per liter. Meanwhile, it slashed prices for Techron Diesel by Php 0.20 per liter. The adjustments took effect at 12:01 a.m. of December 27.

Petron adjusted gasoline prices by Php 0.95 per liter higher for Xtra 91, XCS 95, and Blaze 100, with kerosene also costing Php 0.50 more per liter. Users of Turbo Diesel and Diesel Max will find them Php 0.20 per liter less expensive at the pumps, with all prices effective 6:00 a.m. 

Shell also implemented price increases of Php 0.95 per liter for FuelSave 91, V-Power Nitro Plus 95, and V-Power Nitro Plus Racing 97, along with a Php 0.50 increase for kerosene. Both FuelSave Diesel and V-Power Nitro Plus Diesel are cheaper by Php 0.20 per liter, with prices commencing 6:00 a.m. 

Independent oil player SeaOil adjusted prices by Php 0.95 per liter higher for Extreme 91 and Extreme 97 gasoline, with kerosene also more expensive by Php 0.50 per liter. Exceed Diesel prices rolled back by Php 0.20 per liter. The new prices take effect at 6:00 a.m.

Flying V customers see a Php 0.95 per liter increase for Volt 91, Thunder 95, and Rush 97 gasoline as well as a rise of Php 0.50 per liter for kerosene by 6:00 a.m. Meanwhile, BioDiesel prices roll back by Php 0.20 per liter.   

Phoenix Petroleum raises prices for Super 91, Premium 95, and Premium 98 by Php 0.95 per liter while rolling back diesel by Php 0.20 per liter, starting 6:00 a.m. 

Metro Oil will be selling its Astro 91, Astro 95, and Astro 97 products at Php 0.95 per liter higher for this week, along with implementing a Php 0.50 per liter increase for kerosene. Astro Clean and Astro Power Diesel will retail for Php 0.20 per liter less, with price adjustments effective 6:00 a.m.

Last among the independent oil players in price adjustments is Cleanfuel, raising pump costs by Php 0.95 per liter for its Clean 91 and Premium 95 gasoline while rolling back diesel fuel prices by Php 0.20 per liter. Prices take effect at 4:01 p.m.
