The Korean car brand also hinted at the Ioniq 5 N’s possible Philippine launch.

Hyundai Motor Philippines, Inc. (HMPH) has confirmed it will bring in the all-new fifth-generation Santa Fe in the first quarter (Q1) of 2024. No official specs and pricing have been revealed by Hyundai Philippines but it previewed two all-new Santa Fe units finished in Ocado Green Pearl and Terracotta Orange.

The two previewed fifth-gen Hyundai Santa Fe units come with different interior color themes. The Santa Fe finished in Ocado Green Pearl exterior paint features a black interior while the Santa Fe sporting a Terracotta Orange paint has a white cabin theme. This means that HMPH could offer two variants of the all-new Santa Fe once it is officially launched in the local market.

The fifth-gen Santa Fe’s exterior is night and day as compared to the old model. It comes with a boxy body incorporated with a classic or retro SUV look, a design approach that’s also seen in the new Toyota Land Cruiser

The midsize crossover SUV is fitted with H-shaped headlights along with design cues that make it look ready to tackle tough terrain. It is also built with a long wheelbase and wide tailgate area. In case you’re into numbers, the all-new Hyundai Santa Fe is 4,830mm long, 1,900mm wide, and 1,720mm tall. It comes with a wheelbase of 2,815mm.

To put things in perspective, the fifth-gen 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe is 33mm longer and 45mm wider than the current Toyota Fortuner sold in the Philippines. The Santa Fe’s wheelbase is also 70mm longer than the Fortuner.

It also has H-shaped taillights

The H motif continues into the interior as it is applied on the dashboard and air vents. Hyundai revealed the interior offers “generous living space for an effortless outdoor lifestyle.” The fully foldable second- and third-row seats provide more cargo space, allowing passengers to carry more equipment on outdoor trips.

Other interior amenities include a wireless charger and a panoramic curved display that connects the digital cluster and infotainment systems as well as a sunroof. The new Santa Fe previewed by HMPH can accommodate up to seven occupants.

When it comes to the power unit, the all-new Hyundai Santa Fe is equipped with a turbocharged gasoline engine. Hyundai no longer opted to offer the fifth-gen Santa Fe with a diesel option. That said, the upcoming all-new Hyundai Santa Fe for the Philippine market will most likely be offered with two engine options.

The first is the 2.5-liter turbocharged Theta III gasoline engine that delivers 277 horsepower and 422 Nm of torque. It is then mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, and it features Hyundai’s HTRAC all-wheel drive system.

The other engine option is a 1.6-liter turbo hybrid gasoline engine that generates 230 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. The engine is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission sending. The Hyundai Santa Fe with a hybrid powertrain will be launched at a later date.

Aside from the upcoming arrival of the fifth-gen Santa Fe, HMPH president Dongwook Lee sort of hinted that the car brand also plans to launch the Ioniq 5 N by next year. Although, Lee did not confirm it entirely. But, a video featuring the Ioniq 5 was shown in the background while he was addressing the local motoring media.
