The expo will be back in 2024.

The 2023 Philippine Motorsport Expo (PMX) was back for its second year at the Blue Bay Walk in Met Park, Pasay City last October. The expo aims to promote and grow the local motorsport industry with a wide array of modified car displays and activities related to racing.

The Philippine Motorsport Expo returned in 2023

From rally cars to track cars, the 2023 PMX brought together an event that put a smile on motorsport enthusiasts’ faces. There were modified builds of the Toyota Vios, Volkswagen Golf, and Toyota GR Supra. Cars like the Radical SR3 and Formula V1 were also in attendance at the two-day event.

The expo was joined by various auto companies including Japanese oil firm Eneos. It brought out a second-generation Toyota Yaris along with its newly launched lubricants. Brands like Motolite, Sonax, Parts Pro, and Aguila Auto Glass came with displays, raffles, and games, among others.

The expo showcased various racing-oriented cars

Sim racing activities were held including a competition hosted by Stregawo. Indeed, sim racing is growing in the country, with Toyota as one of the brands that champions e-sport. The company participates in the Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) GT Cup Asia, taking Filipino talent to the global stage.

The 2023 PMX invited renowned motorsport personalities, including Marlon Stockinger and Gaby dela Merced, to share their insights about the sport. Also in attendance were Louis and Stefan Ramirez, Carlos Anton, and Don Pastor. They were joined by Mr. Edgar Rubiano, husband of Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, who is also a car enthusiast.

The PMX will be back again next year

Events like this help more Filipinos to know more about the local motorsport scene. Fortunately, the PMX is already gearing up for the 2024 edition. This expo goes hand-in-hand in championing the local motorsports scene with other racing-related gatherings such as the Toyota GR Vios Cup, a one-make-race series held annually at the Clark International Speedway (CIS).
