Toll for the new interchange will be free until further notice

For now, motorists who will pass through this portion will be able to do so free of charge until further notice. Motorists will only be charged up to the Silang Interchange toll fee.

Previously, CALAX concessionaire MPCALA Holdings Inc. (MHI), targeted a September 2023 opening date for the new interchange. But for reasons not disclosed by the company, its opening was moved to the schedule stated above.

Regardless of the delayed opening of the interchange, MHI says it will play a key role in decongesting the roads within its vicinity. It likewise offers faster routes to tourist destinations like Tagaytay City. As estimated, it may be able to cut down travel times to the famous Cavite tourist destination to just 20 minutes.

The new interchange likewise provides better access to the number of coffee shops, as well as the growing number of farm-to-table restaurants located in Silang, Cavite.

In total, the new interchange is 3.9 kilometers long, and it consists of a 2x2 lane. MHI said that the new road is capable of handling an additional 5,000 motorists per day.
