We even talked about leaked photos a while back. Recently though, more concrete news has come out of Ford itself that this anticipated seventh-generation model is indeed debuting at the upcoming 2022 Detroit Motor Show.
Of note, the said event is scheduled to happen on September 14, 2022, and this was confirmed by Ford Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jim Farley himself via a Twitter post.
And yes, as we’ve reported before, Farley also confirmed that this all-new Mustang is still getting a manual gearbox. The Ford CEO even uses the #SaveTheManuals hashtag. This might be a six-speed manual unit, though it is expected that a version equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission will also be released. Furthermore, the car in question might also come with a V8 engine.

That said, the Blue Oval brand is yet to release further details about the seventh-generation Ford Mustang. But while scant at best, these details were received well by Ford fans judging by the enthusiastic replies on the said Twitter post.
In talking about exterior design, not much is known about this upcoming Mustang as well. But from what we know from the previous leaks, we saw that this new pony car is less frowny than the current model, but is still a fair bit aggressive.
Then again, it can be described as an evolution of the current design as it doesn’t actually depart that much from the current sixth-generation model. For instance, the silhouette of the car remains the same.

Moreover, the actual production run for the 2023 Ford Mustang was reported to start by the first half of 2023.
