The German carmaker says the roadster is more visually appealing than ever.

For the model year 2023, BMW is releasing a facelift version of the Z4 Roadster, which is currently in its third-generation form. It offers a refreshed styling that aims to provide a sportier appeal inside and out.

2023 BMW Z4 facelift

To start, the M Sport Package is now standard on the Z4 sDrive30i variant. It is added with three-section air intakes on the front fascia, exuding a familiar distinct M look. The grille is one of the most significant updates coming to 2023, which now has a new honeycomb-like design as opposed to the horizontal accents of the outgoing design.

Moving to the sides, the air intakes have been revamped to create a more aerodynamic-looking finish. A new set of 19-inch M light alloy wheels will be offered as an option, coming with a V-spoke design in Jet Black matte paint and diamond polished rim edge. Other optional exterior paints which have been revised include Thundernight metallic, Portimao Blue metallic, and Skyscraper Grey metallic for the first time.

Interior of the BMW Z4

Inside, the cabin gets a sporty treatment thanks to the now standard M Sport Package. With it, the interior is equipped with an M leather steering wheel, M Sport seats, M pedals, an M driver’s footrest, and a dashboard upholstered in SensaTec. Meanwhile, the driver-focused cockpit layout with sports seats is still retained.

No changes are made under the hood. The base Z4 sDrive30i still uses a 2.0-liter B46 twin-scroll turbocharged engine with 255 horsepower and 399 Nm of torque, while the top-spec Z4 M40i is powered by the same 3.0-liter inline-6 twin-scroll turbocharged engine that makes 382 horsepower and 499 Nm of torque. An 8-speed auto gearbox is a standard across the range.

The roadster gets elevated sportiness

The 2023 BMW Z4 facelift will be offered with a price that starts at USD 52,800 (around Php 3.12 million) and goes up to USD 65,300 (Php 3.85 million) for the M40i. It is scheduled to make its worldwide market debut in November this year.
