The Lotus Elise is a two-door, two-seat roadster flaunting a striking road presence meant to turn heads anywhere. Launch
The Lotus Elise was conceptualized in 1994. In September 1996, it was released to the market as the first series. Aside from the top-performing variants made available by the British premium automobile company, they released limited-edition models such as the 147 horsepower Lotus Elise Sport 135, the 162 horsepower Lotus Elise Sport 160, and the 192 horsepower Lotus Elise Sport 190.
For the second series of the Lotus Elise, the company teamed up with General Motors. They unveiled the Series 2 Elise powered with the K-series engine on October 9, 2000.
In 2016, they introduced the high-performing Lotus Elise Cup 250 at the Geneva International Auto Show. A year after, the Lotus Elise Cup 260 was made available in the market. It was more powerful and made in reference to the Lotus Evora and the Lotus Exige.
The Lotus Elise was officially introduced in the Philippines during the British automobile company’s grand launch in 2015.

The Lotus Elise measures 3,824mm long, 1,719mm wide, and 1,117mm tall. It flaunts a sporty, classy, and exotic appeal that effortlessly stands out anywhere. Highlights include its finely-detailed composite fiberglass body, high-intensity projection beam headlights, front mudguards, removable soft top with storage bag, LED tail lights, intermittent windshield wiper, LED tail lights, and an aerodynamic-styled rear diffuser.
To complete its striking looks, the Lotus Elise wears a 16-inch front and 17-inch rear ten-spoke alloy wheels.
Interior
The Lotus Elise offers a generously-spaced cabin for two fully grown adults. Notable features inside include leather-covered bucket seats with integral headrest and manual recline function, a leather-covered Momo steering wheel, an aluminum shift knob, a customizable LCD panel with a tachometer and display options, leather sun visors, a remote keyless entry system, and air conditioning.

The Lotus Elise is fitted with a four-wheel anti-lock braking system, driver and passenger airbags, side guard door beams, three-point seatbelts, tire pressure monitoring system, and more.

The Lotus Elise utilizes a chassis made from lightweight aluminum. It is equipped with Eibach spring suspensions and Blistein high-performance gas dampers at the front and rear. Its braking power is assisted by twin-piston AP Racing front calipers and single-piston Brembo rear calipers.
Engine & Drivetrain
The Lotus Elise runs using a supercharged 14 DOHC 16 Valve, dual VVT-i water-cooled engine paired with a six-speed sports ratio manual transmission. The engine can deliver horsepower that ranges from 217 to 245 with 250 Newton meters.
