Only the entry-level LX trim may come with a five-speed manual transmission. The one with the manual has a different engine tune of 94 horsepower.

Launch

The Kia Stonic 2023 was first unveiled at the International Motor Show in Germany on June 20, 2017. On July 13, 2017, it debuted in South Korea. Upon its release, it was offered in four engine choices. Its trendy name is a combination of “speed” and “tonic”, a rightful description of this vehicle’s proven capability.

The Stonic received recognition from different award-giving organizations. It won the “Transportation Design” category at the iF Product Design Award and the “Car Design” category by the Red Dot Design Award in 2018.

Kia Philippines is looking to make an iconic statement as it introduced the Stonic subcompact crossover. With the catchphrase “Style That is Iconic,” the Stonic was designed to meet the needs of active people in need of a stylish but practical city going daily driver.

This subcompact crossover is designed by Peter Schreyer, the designer of the Audi TT. The Stonic was launched by Kia Philippines in October 2020. It sports the familiar Tiger Nose Grille, which is then combined with sporty design cues provided by the aggressive looking skid-plate, and the angular lines spread around the front fascia.

In 2021, Kia Philippines then added the Kia Style Edition which features added colored pieces for the front bumper and side skirt, as well as a set of black-colored wheels.

The Stonic is a very youthful car that's for sure
