Due to the international success of the Hyundai Genesis sedan and coupe, the Genesis series became a separate entity. Hyundai Motor Company established Genesis Motor LLC as its luxury division on November 4, 2015.
Launch
The first-generation Hyundai Genesis was launched at the North American International Auto Show in 2008 and was made available worldwide except Europe. In the same year, Hyundai Motor America teamed up with Carbonfund.org to launch the Hyundai Genesis at the Los Angeles Auto Show. In 2012, the premium sedan received engine updates. Buyers can choose from a 3.8 Lambda GDi, a 4.6 Tau MPi, or a 5.0 Tau GDi. It was now paired with a refreshed eight-speed automatic transmission. Two years later, the sedan got pleasant updates in its exterior and infotainment system.
The second-generation Hyundai Genesis concept was revealed at the North American International Auto Show in 2013. A year after, it was launched at the same grand motoring event and the Canadian International Auto Show. Soon after, it was made available worldwide including the Philippines.

Exterior
The Hyundai Genesis measures 4,986mm long, 1,889mm wide, and 1,4801mm tall. Its exudes a subdued elegance elevated with highlights such as the wide three-slotted wing-like chrome grille, a pair of high-intensity discharge Xenon headlights with adaptive function, front and rear painted bumpers with chrome trimmings, a pair of fog lights, chrome-colored door handles, and broad laminated windows.
To complete its premium road presence, the Hyundai Genesis wears a set of 18-inch intricately designed aluminum wheels.

The Hyundai Genesis is a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive sedan. It is powered by either a 333 horsepower V6 3.8L and a 429 horsepower V8 5.0L engine. Both are mated with a six-speed automatic transmission.
