The GAC GA4 is a compact four-door sedan also known as Trumpchi GA4 worldwide. Though relatively new to the local market, this sporty and charming vehicle can go head to head with the likes of the Toyota Corolla Altis, the Honda Civic, the Kia Soluto, and the Hyundai Reina courtesy of its overall versatility and impressive performance. It features an athletic and contemporary physique designed with the right amount of sleek lines and powerful curves. Inside, it is packed with comfort, convenience, and safety features meant to provide an enjoyable ride. The GAC GA4 is offered in three variants: the GAC GA4 1.5 MT, the GAC GA4 1.4 AT, and the GAC GA4 1.3 Turbo AT. It is available in Ivory White, Elegant Black, Starlight Silver, Champagne Gold, Coffee Brown, and Rosefinch Red.
Launch
The GAC GA4 was officially unveiled at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It was released as the replacement for the Chinese company’s other well-built compact car, the GAC GA5. In January of the same year, it went on sale in China and other parts of the world.
In November 2018, this promising sedan together with its siblings was introduced during the local brand launch of GAC Motors in partnership with the Legado Motors Philippines.

Exterior
The GAC GAF series measures 4,692mm long, 1,805mm, wide and 1,500mm tall. Its front is designed with a wide trapezoidal chrome grille with a pair of halogen headlights, LED front fog lights, and LED daytime running lights. Its body, perfectly balanced with a classy and sporty vibe, is designed with graceful lines that highlight its long frame. Its rear features a nicely shaped bumper matched with LED combination lights that provide efficient lighting when needed.
Supporting this highly reliable sedan is a set of 16-inch to 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with 205/55 tires.
Interior
The GAC GAF can accommodate five fully grown adults thanks to its spacious and comfortable cabin. Highlights include a multifunctional leather-wrapped steering wheel, fabric-covered seats with leatherette trimmings, six-way adjustable driver’s seat and four-way adjustable passenger’s seat, a well-designed dashboard with a3.5-inch TFT display, wireless charging for mobile devices, power sunroof that provides natural lighting, interior ambient lighting, negative ion air purifier, and automatic air conditioning.
Technology & Safety Features
Providing infotainment inside the GAC GA4 is an eight-inch full-color LCD screen display. In terms of safety, it is fitted with a generous number of airbags, seat belts with force limiters and pretensioners, electronic stability program, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, traction control system, hydraulic brake assist, hill-start hold control, and more.
Platform & Chassis
The GAC GA4 is built with high strength, safe body structure guaranteed to protect you from sudden impact. It is fitted with a McPherson Independent suspension at the front and a multi-link beam independent suspension at the rear. Its braking power is assisted by ventilated disc brakes at the front and disc brakes at the rear.
Engine & Drivetrain
The GA GA4 1.3 Turbo AT runs using a 1.3-liter, four-cylinder V16 engine mated with a six-speed automatic transmission. It can produce 136 horsepower with 202 Newton meters of torque.
The GAC GA4 1.5-liter AT and the GA GA4 1.5-liter MT share the same four-cylinder V16 engine paired with a six-speed automatic and a five-speed manual transmission respectively. Both can generate 113 horsepower with 150 Newton meters.
