Honda Civic Color: Which hue is best for you?

Updated Mar 08, 2022

Honda Cars PH offers five colors for the Civic.

The Honda Civic is one of the most iconic nameplates around the world for various reasons such as its rich history well known by car enthusiasts. As such, we believe that if you are planning to buy a Honda Civic, you should consider thoroughly not only the Honda Civic price Philippines, but also which color option will you choose.

10th-gen Honda Civic

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI), the official business unit of Honda in the country, is offering the Honda Civic with five colors where the availability depends on the variant. All colors of the Honda Civic aim to further highlight the compact sedan’s aggressive-looking exterior design, making it an eye-catcher everywhere you go.

Before we start, take note that we will discuss the available body color options of the 10th iteration of the iconic Japanese compact sedan offered by HCPI. The new 2022 11th-gen Honda Civic already made its debut, but hasn’t made it on Philippine shores just yet.

Honda Civic 1.8 S CVT

The Honda Civic S base variant is available with three body colors, namely the Lunar Silver Metallic, Cosmic Blue Metallic, and Platinum White Pearl. Yes, not a lot to choose from. But at the end of the day, you will only get to choose one anyway so one of these three body color options should address your taste.

Since this is a base variant, then going for a clean and neat look is arguably the most ideal option to choose. This look can be provided by the Platinum White Pearl. The Honda Civic color of Platinum White Pearl complements the standard exterior details of the compact sedan such as its chrome grille, chrome fog light garnish, 16-inch alloy wheels, body-colored door handles, and more.

Honda Civic Lunar Silver Metallic

The Platinum White Pearl also goes well with the blacked-out features of the Honda Civic S variant found in the bumper skid garnish and door sash garnish. With that being said, opting for a clean look isn’t too shabby. Plus, this color scheme provides many benefits that other color options don’t.

A white-colored vehicle will help hide the dirt and debris accumulated on the road. As such, you won’t feel obligated to visit your local car wash shop. However, we recommend that you still wash your car on a daily basis to avoid further damage which can result in water spots and paint stains. This is one of the many reasons why white is the most popular car color in the world.

But if you think that white looks way too simple, then you can opt for the Honda Civic color Lunar Silver Metallic. This will make your unit come with a bit of radiance, but not too flashy. The Lunar Silver Metallic will also further accent the chrome trims found on the S variant, creating a sleeker finish to the overall design.

Honda Civic 1.8 E CVT

As for the mid-spec, the Honda Civic colors available in the Philippines include the Lunar Silver Metallic, Cosmic Blue Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Modern Steel Metallic. The Honda E variant still has the same body color options as the base variant, but only with the addition of the Modern Steel Metallic.

The Modern Steel Metallic can help accent the chrome trims of the mid-spec variant as this color option creates contrast. Moreover, this color option complements the variant-exclusive 16-inch shark gray metallic alloy wheels which both provide a premium touch to the exterior appearance.

Honda Civic Platinum White Pearl

Another note-worthy Honda Civic color is the Cosmic Blue Metallic. Sure, blue is one of the most popular car colors in the world which could take away the feeling of exclusivity on the road. But the Cosmic Blue Metallic offered by HCPI looks darker than the most blue-painted cars.

What this body color option should offer you is sort of like prestige and mysterious vibe best suited for young car buyers, if you will. Thanks to its dark hue, the Honda Civic in its blue color option still goes well with the chrome and black trims of the mid-spec variant.

Honda Civic Cosmic Blue Metallic

The only disadvantage of opting for the Cosmic Blue Metallic is that it is a relatively dirty color, accenting the dirty spots on the paint. You have three clean colors if you are not a fan of visiting a car wash shop. These three color options include the Lunar Silver Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Modern Steel Metallic.

Honda Civic RS Turbo CVT

Lastly, we have the top-of-the-line Honda City RS Turbo CVT variant. The Honda Civic colors available in the Philippines for this variant include Cosmic Blue Metallic, Ignite Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Modern Steel Metallic. The thing you need to keep in mind is that the RS variant removes the chrome trims and replaces them with black ones.

The RS variant is installed with exclusive-variant exterior features such as the RS Design high gloss black with RS emblem grille, gloss black fog lights garnish, blacked-out bumper skid garnish, high gloss black door sash garnish, and dark chrome door handles.

Honda Civic RS Modern Steel Metallic

We believe that the dark theme is the intended scheme of the Japanese automaker for its long-time running compact sedan. As such, opting for the Modern Steel Metallic is not a bad choice. This color option complements all of the said blacked-out and high gloss exterior details of the RS variants.

Another body color option that should be at the top of your list is the Ignite Red Metallic. Needless to say, red is incorporated with sports and speed. So opting for the variant that comes with a single scroll turbo should come with a sporty body color as well, hence the Ignite Red Metallic.

Honda Civic RS Ignite Red Metallic

The Honda Civic color of Ignite Red Metallic is exclusive only to the RS variant. Civic fans who see a red Honda Civic on the road will instantly think that you got the top-of-the-line variant, talk about bragging rights. This color option complements the RS body kits, as well as the flagship RS variant’s characteristic of being a sporty compact sedan.
