SsangYong Musso Grand is one of the variants of the SsangYong Musso - the brand’s entry to the midsize pickup truck segment. The South Korean midsize pickup was developed through the collaboration of the SsangYong and Daimler-Benz. The Musso nameplate is the Korean term for rhinoceros, representing the concept of the SsangYong Musso – rigidity and power. However, in the early 90s, the car's nameplate used to be a moniker for the SsangYong brand's midsize SUVs. It was early 2000 when the South Korean carmaker introduced the Musso’s pickup body. SsangYong Musso rides on the brand’s latest body-on-frame using the Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS). SsangYong Musso is the pickup version of the Korean SUV, Rexton. It is the main reason why the two vehicles share the same exterior styling. The pickup from SsangYong features a well pronounced exterior line that complements the vehicle's shape very well. Overall, the exterior design of the SsangYong Musso looks pretty similar to most SsangYong car models. Under the hood of the SsangYong Musso lies a 2.2L Euro 4 engine responsible for providing power to the South Korean pickup. The unit pumps up 179 horsepower and torque of 420 Newton-meter. The powerful engine is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear axles.
Launch
SsangYong launched the SsangYong Musso in 2018. The model serves as the brand’s entry in the pickup truck segment. As mentioned earlier, the SsangYong Musso is the pickup version of the Korean midsize SUV, Rexton. Since the Musso Grand is a pickup version, the third row of seats is converted into a large cargo bay instead, and a few more changes were done to differentiate the SsangYong Musso over the South Korean SUV.
SsangYong Philippines offers the Ssangyong Musso in seven color options – Fine Silver, Silky White, Atlantic Blue, Space Black, Indian Red, Maroon Brown, and Marble Grey. It is also available in Manual and Automatic transmission. SsangYong Musso Grand can also be ordered with 4x2 and 4x4.

The body and bed of the SsangYong Musso are mounted high on the frame, which leaves plenty of bare bodywork between the top of the bed and the wheels.
Interior
The interior of the SsangYong Musso Grand features soft-touch plastic and contrasting color and texture. The cabin is simple but well-executed. It is rendered in several shades of brown, gray, silver, chrome, and brushed steel. The flat roof leaves in-ceiling clearance for the sliding sunroof that livens up the cabin a bit.
The front part of the car's interior provides generous storage, including a huge center cabin and a lined dash shelf for change and cards. The seats are power-adjustable, which will make it easy for drivers to sidle up into a good driving position. There is also a bit of storage space underneath for slim bags, equipment, and umbrellas.
