Cars like the S-Presso and Ertiga will join the fun.

Suzuki Philippines will hold a two-day festival showcasing its latest model lineup at SM City Bacoor from August 26 to 27, 2023.

Suzuki is arriving at SM City Bacoor

Dubbed Suzuki Auto Festival, the Japanese automaker will bring the Dzire, XL7, and Jimny to Caviteños. But perhaps the highlight of the festival will be the Suzuki S-Presso with the brand’s AGS (auto gear shift) technology.

When Suzuki first brought the S-Presso into the country last 2020, the hatchback came with a five-speed manual gearbox only. The company only started offering the AGS on the PH-spec model three years later, addressing the demand for a two-pedal S-Presso.

Matched to the AGS is a 1.0-liter KC10 gasoline engine capable of generating 67 horsepower and 90 Nm of torque. It is complemented by an engine auto stop-start (EASS) and variable valve timing (VVT) system for improved fuel efficiency. Based on our fuel eco test run, the hatchback returned 10.2 km/l in the city and 21.2 km/l on the highway.

The Suzuki Ertiga will also make its way to Cavite with its hybridized engine. Speaking of which, the MPV uses a 1.5-liter inline-four engine with an integrated starter generator (ISG), making 103 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque. In a test drive with select members of the motoring media, the Ertiga managed to return 26.8 km/l.

But the festival will not only be for car buyers but also for kids spending their weekends in the mall. Activities such as a maze run, Suzuki memory match, origami, and influencer collaborations will be available at the festival. Moreover, the event will also host games like Jengga, Spot and Count, and Plinko and Put a Ring on It, among others.

Suzuki Philippines said there will be four shows each day of the festival scheduled from 12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. It will be open at SM City Bacoor at 10:00 a.m. and will close at 10:00 p.m. on August 26. On the second day, the festival will run from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
