After its debut in Thailand, Nissan Philippines is bringing in the facelifted Nissan Terra. The said event is scheduled to take place on September 1, 2021 at 5 pm. It can then be viewed on Nissan PH’s official YouTube channel and on Facebook.
The Nissan Philippines site is currently showing off a teaser for the upcoming Terra
As with the Thai version, we’re expecting the latest version of the Terra to still bear the same name. This is in contrast to the “X-Terra” model that was introduced to the Middle-Eastern market a year ago. Moreover, we are also certain that it will also be using a turbodiesel mill.
Do note, however, that there are two available turbo diesel engines for the Terra. For the Thai market, they already have the twin-turbo, 2.3-liter YS23DDTT inline-4. This engine, of course, didn’t reach the Philippine market. Instead, our version of the outgoing Terra uses the single-turbo 2.5-liter YD25DDTi.
Despite having one more turbo, the 2.3-liter mill on the Thai version produces 187 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. Those are exactly the same figures as the 2.5-liter engine that the current Philippine-spec version uses.
That said, we are still in the dark as to which engine we’ll get, but do note that the new Navara (which the Terra is based on) still uses the aforementioned 2.5-liter mill. Either way however, both are known to be robust powertrains that make ample amounts of oomph for the Terra’s size and weight.
The updated Nissan Terra for the Thai market
Moving on to interior specs, it will of course get a more premium-feeling interior which will mirror the version in Thailand. We can even hazard a guess that it will get the same on-board features. Chief among these is the nine-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless phone charger.
Moreover, it also has loads of safety features like a 360-degree view monitor, blind spot warning, and lane departure warning, among others.
Going back to the launch event, it can be viewed by the public on YouTube and Facebook as mentioned above. On top of that however, Philkotse.com might have something special for our readers in connection to the new Terra. As such, do subscribe to our YouTube channel for more updates.
