The Kicks e-Power is also on display at the 2022 PIMS.

Fresh from its official Philippine launch, the Nissan Livina makes its way into the 2022 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) to further showcase what it has to offer.

2023 Nissan Livina

As you may already know, the Livina is Nissan Philippines’ challenger in the tightly contested seven-seater MPV segment. It is based on the pre-facelift Mitsubishi Xpander as part of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance.

Despite having a similar shell to the Xpander, Nissan has integrated distinct design details to the Livina. The front end of the Livina has a different look compared to the Xpander due to Nissan’s signature V-motion grille. But, it still has the familiar design for its headlights and daytime running lights. All Nissan Livina variants in the local market come with fog lights, except for the entry-level trim.

On the side, the Livina still has traces of the Xpander. It has the same silhouette as the Mitsubishi MPV but the Livina has a different wheel design. It also comes with a revised set of character lines.

The same story goes when you look at the rear. The Livina has the same taillight housing design as the Xpander. However, Nissan’s MPV has a different design approach for the LED graphic that matches the one you see in the Almera.

The interior of the 2023 Nissan Livina is very Xpander-ish. It has the same layout as the pre-facelift Xpander, especially when you look at its dashboard. Almost all variants of the Livina have a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen. The said touchscreen doesn’t come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto but it has Bluetooth connectivity and phone mirroring.

The Nissan Livina is powered with the same 1.5-liter gasoline engine found on the Mitsubishi Xpander. The said power unit delivers 104 hp and 141 Nm of torque. Transmission options also do come with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic.

Pricing for the Livina starts at Php 1,029,000 while the top-spec trim retails at Php 1,209,000. Sales of the 2023 Nissan Livina in the Philippines have officially started.

Nissan LEAF at the 2022 MIAS

Nissan Philippines also highlighted the LEAF’s vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology. The Japanese car brand has been showcasing the LEAF’s V2L tech for quite some time now.

The said tech allows the LEAF to power different home appliances such as coffee makers, electric fans, chest freezers, among others. The power or the electricity generated comes from the LEAF’s battery through a Power Mover unit.

Nissan intends to show that the LEAF is more than just an electric vehicle. Through the V2L tech, it can provide power where electricity may not readily be available such as in off-grid campings.

Nissan LEAF transforms into an emergency charger during power outages

In fact, the Nissan LEAF has proven its versatility as it was able to provide charging power for typhoon-stricken communities in Cebu last December 2021. The LEAF transformed into a mobile phone charging station, allowing individuals to fully charge their mobile phones in order to communicate with their families and loved ones as power grids were damaged by the typhoon’s onslaught.

Nissan PH has also been partnering with government and private institutions alike to further advocate more efficient energy use in the country.

Meanwhile, other Nissan cars are also displayed at the car brand’s booth at PIMS. Get the chance to see in the metal the Nissan Kicks, Navara, Terra, and other Nissan cars at the 2022 PIMS. The said motor show will run until September 18, 2022 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
