The year 2021 is starting off good for Mitsubishi Motor Philippines, Corp. (MMPC) as it is getting significant improvements in sales. The two top sellers of MMPC include the L300 and Strada with 59 percent and 30 percent sales growth, respectively.
The Mitsubishi L300 ranked second in MMPC’s annual report in 2020 with 6,791 units sold. It continues its impressive sales this year as it is now the best-selling Mitsubishi vehicle so far. MMPC recorded a total of 764 units sold this January, 286 units more than December 2020.
The Mitsubishi L300
Local businesses need mobility to move their goods as person-to-person transactions are limited by the strict social distancing protocols. The Mitsubishi L300 has been addressing this need for many entrepreneurs, hence we have seen significant sales growth of it in the new normal.
In addition, enabling the sales growth of the Mitsubishi L300 is MMPC’s special Retro promo which cuts the SRP of the L300 down to Php 698,000 for the Cab and Chassis variant only. Fortunately, the Japanese carmaker has decided to extend its Retro promo until the end of February.
The Mitsubishi Strada pickup truck
Given the reasonable Mitsubishi Strada price Philippines, MMPC managed to sell 428 units of it last January, making it the second best-selling Mitsubishi unit this year. Last December 2020, MMPC sold 327 units of its pickup truck. The Mitsubishi Strada pickup truck has always been a steady contributor to MMPC with a total of 4,958 units sold last year.
“Every month displays a new challenge for us but we are grateful to consistently receive an overwhelming support from the market and admirable passion from our dealer partners. We will continue to strive to give the market enticing promos to assist them in owning their desired Mitsubishi vehicle,” said Mr. Mutsuhiro Oshikiri, President and CEO of MMPC.
