In driving on today's roads, extra help is always welcome.

Roads today are arguably busier than they were years ago. There are now more cars, more motorcycles, and more pedestrians sharing the concrete laden pathways in Philippine cities. To some degree, the same is the case in those leading to and from provinces.

As such, many people have turned to cars equipped with devices that can guide and/or assist them in driving. One of those cars being sold today is Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation’s Montero Sport.

To date, the Montero Sport is still one of the most striking looking SUVs available locally

At the forefront of the Mitsubishi-made SUV’s driver-oriented features is of course its adaptive cruise control (ACC). It allows you to set the speed you want, but it also allows the Montero Sport to adjust its distance from the car in front of you. It can help reduce driver fatigue, allowing you to keep alert and attentive on the road.

On the highway, changing lanes should be done carefully, and must be performed with the utmost attention from the driver. To aid a driver in this, the Montero Sport is equipped with both blind-spot warning and lane change assist.

In the stop and go traffic that’s a usual fare in the city, a driver will undoubtedly experience long pauses. To further reduce the stress in driving in the city, the Montero Sport comes with a brake auto-hold function. With this feature, a driver no longer needs to continuously press on the brake pedal while the vehicle is at a full stop, and therefore can relax for a bit. As soon as one steps on the accelerator, the car immediately releases the hold and you can continue driving. For parking, the Mitsubishi-made SUV is also equipped with a multi-around view camera.

Being a three-row midsize SUV, the Montero Sport has tons of interior room, and can seat up to seven

Apart from the useful and convenient driver-assist features mentioned above, the Montero Sport is also adorned with a well-arranged, and spacious interior. The driver and front passenger are especially lucky since they get access to eight-way power-adjustable front seats.

With these features, Mitsubishi PH says driving the large and in-charge Mitsubishi Montero Sport is a breeze. These can also be useful especially now when Skyway 3 is now open, beckoning you to more fun road trips to the North and South of Metro Manila.
